What are the Peer Advisor's responsibilities?

Peer Advisors are committed to promoting education abroad programs at MTU in all of the following ways:

  • talking with students about application procedures, requirements, choosing courses, etc.
  • building relationships with students preparing to go abroad through informal conversations, etc.
  • being available to answer questions from students who want to hear from those that have been there, done that!

How do I use a Peer Advisor?

Email a PA to talk about education abroad programs, your questions and concerns, etc. A list of PAs is available on this website.

How do I become a Peer Advisor?

If you had a life-changing semester/year abroad and you're serious about sharing your experience with your peers, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Contact the Study Abroad Office at studyabroad@mtu.edu.

What will I get out of being a Peer Advisor?

PAs keep their education abroad experience alive by sharing it with others. PAs gain experience and develop skills in creating marketing strategies, program planning and execution, leadership, and more!
